Stafford Railway Building Society Chief Executive, Susan Whiting, will take on a 20 mile cycle challenge for Katharine House Hospice as part of their annual Cycling Challenge on Sunday 30 April.
The Society has a longstanding relationship with Katharine House Hospice, with staff continuing to support the Hospice throughout the year, including the Society being the main sponsor of the Autumn Fun Run. Katharine House Hospice provides a range of services offering help, care and support for people with advanced life-limiting conditions across mid-Staffordshire.
Susan Whiting said;
“The Society continues to have a strong relationship with Katharine House Hospice with many of our team taking part in their events throughout the year. The cycle challenge is a great opportunity to not only support the Hospice but also to get fit and healthy and take in some of the beautiful sights of Staffordshire. I will be taking part in the 20-mile challenge and I look forward to seeing everyone else who is taking part on a, hopefully, sunny Sunday morning.”
The event, which last year broke all records for the Cycling Challenge, saw nearly 700 cyclists pedal for pounds.
The Cycling Challenge starts and finishes at Katharine House Hospice and there is a challenge for every type of rider, from 65 miles through to a family route over a smaller 8 miles.
