Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship scheme

Mortgage lenders including The Stafford Railway Building Society are supportive of the government’s Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship scheme, which will enable homeowners across the UK to provide accommodation in their own home to refugees fleeing the war.

Both UK Finance and the BSA are working closely with the government as the scheme details are finalised, with the objective of it being implemented as quickly and simply as possible, enabling homeowners to participate easily.

It is important that borrowers accepted as sponsors let their lender know once the joint visa application from the sponsor and refugee/refugees has been accepted.
