Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998, you may ask for access to information we hold about you. This is called a Subject Access Request.
You are only entitled to request your own personal data and not information relating to other people i.e. joint account holders (unless you are also able to provide their written consent).
If you would like to make a Subject Access Request, please complete the Subject Access Request form.
Alternatively, if you do not wish to complete the form, you can still apply in writing. To be valid, your request must contain a clear written request, detailing the information you require and include your signature.
All requests must be accompanied by a £10 non-refundable fee and proof of identity as detailed on the Subject Access Request form. Cheques should be payable to ‘Stafford Railway Building Society’. Do not send cash by post. Your request will be placed on hold until we have received the necessary fee and proof of identity from you.
We will process your application promptly, but in any event we will respond to you within 40 calendar days from the date we received your request, the fee and proof of identity.

If you wish to communicate with the Society by email, and this contains any form of customer, personal or sensitive data, we strongly advise that you password protect all files before sending them to the Society.
